Why Give?
How do we keep the good works of our active parish going amid the Coronavirus pandemic?
St. Joseph and St. Francis of Assisi Churches are very active with a busy staff and many parishioners volunteering to provide services to our children, adults, home bound, the needy and many others. The weekly collections only help to provide these services with financial support for wages for our staff and for the maintenance of our “mature” buildings. However, weekly collections do not cover all of our expenses. Now more than ever, we have a pressing financial need for your help to keep everything going.
MERGER CONSIDERATIONS:
Cardinal Sean O'Malley has approved our request to merge our parishes and has issued a Decree of Merger, which makes our union effective on August 1, 2020. As a result, our two parishes will come together to form a new entity for canonical, sacramental, financial and legal purposes so that we can be stronger together as a Catholic Community.
Our new Parish has a new name: Mary, Queen of Peace. During this transitional time, when making financial donations to our new Parish, please make checks payable to: Saint Joseph – Saint Francis of Assisi Parish. Parishioners who use the envelope system will receive their envelopes with the new Parish name in the coming days. In the meantime, please continue to use the envelopes you have.
Please don’t hesitate to contact our Parish Office by phone at 781-396-0423 or by e-mail at lpowers.stjoseph.stfrancis@gmail.com if you have any questions or need assistance.

SPECIAL OFFERTORY CAMPAIGN: "90-Days Now - For Your Parish"
The desire to take care of one another during the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19 and the inability to join together at local Catholic churches for Masses has inspired a grass roots movement for parishioners to rally around their local parishes. “90 Days Now – For Your Parish” is a newly launched three-month campaign spearheaded by a member of the laity to help support parishes while Churches are temporarily closed but while the need for parish services continues.
The Archdiocese of Boston has supported the movement by creating an easy-to-use, on-line payment mechanism whereby donors can make a gift directly to the parish of their choice. This 90-day program offers support now by providing a way to make a daily commitment in addition to regular weekly donations. To donate, please click here. Thank you for support of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Joseph!
