    Prayer & Devotions

    St. Joseph

    Adoration Team
In March 2004, Eucharistic Adoration was initiated on each Thursday in the lower Church here at Saint Joseph Parish. In September of 2004, Adoration was extended to include Wednesdays and in December of 2010, Adoration increased to every Wednesday thru Friday from 8:30 AM until 8:30 PM, with Benediction at 8:30 when a priest is available.

Volunteer attendees for the hours of Adoration come from all parishes in Medford and surrounding areas, uniting all of us in our love of our Catholic Faith and for the Eucharist.

Volunteers are asked to sign up for one hour, in order to assure that someone is always present when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.

A monthly Mass is offered for the members of the Adoration team, living and deceased

For information or notices please call Mary Ann Harold (her information is listed below).
To leave a prayer request for the Adoration Chapel or to report a report a problem or notice of your inability to keep your scheduled Holy Hour, please call 617-755-7549.

In addition, a group of parishioners meets on the first Tuesday of each month to pray the Rosary with residents at the Courtyard Nursing Home starting at 1:30 PM. Rosaries are prayed in the C, D and A/B units. Volunteers are welcome!

    The Legion of Mary
St. Pope John Paul II stated to a group of Italian legionaries on October 30 1982: “You are a movement of lay people who propose to make faith the aspiration of your life up to the achievement of personal sanctity…  Yours is an eminently Marian spirituality… In other words, you intend to render  your service to every person, who is the image of Christ, with the spirit and solicitude of Mary.”

Our Lady of the Most Holy Eucharist Praesidium meets weekly in the lower  church meeting room. The meeting is composed of the Legionary prayers, the rosary and reading from the Handbook  “Legio Mariae” written in the spirit of Founder Frank Duff, of Dublin, Ireland. The meeting includes the report by active legionaries of the work done in the previous week.

Auxillary membership is another form of becoming a member of Mary’s Legion. We welcome you to pray and work, evangelize and reach out to those in need. Click here to visit the Legion of Mary’s website or call 617-955-0184.
